Virology, Senior Scientist
Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Lead vaccine design, candidate selection and new technology and platform development.

Lead virological assay development and vaccine candidate evaluation in viral challenge animal model.

Lead the group on studying the virology of new pathogens, development and evaluation of new generation or novel vaccine for Clover’s target infectious diseases.

Assist supervisor to recruit and coach scientists and research associates supporting key research objectives.

Working closely with the translational R&D leader and team on the introduction of the assays and execution of proof-of-concept studies.

Provide input and support on the preparation of non-clinical sections in regulatory documents needed during vaccine development.

Support preparation of manuscripts and posters, present at scientific conferences and other scientific forums, engage with consultants and advisors in the field.
Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Virology, Molecular biology, Immunology or a closely related field of study, with 2+ years of industry experience in infectious disease/vaccine development.

Significant hands-on experience in virology techniques is essential.

The successful candidate should be able to apply their broad scientific knowledge to finding new solutions to support vaccine development.

Experience in collaborations with CRO, academic institutions and the cross-functional teams.

Strong problem-solving ability and attention to timelines, detail and quality are critical to success.

Excellent verbal and written communicator with bilingual (English and Chinese)
